Exploring Europe my way

After a couple of months of rest and rejuvenation I am excited to delve into Air Canada Vacations’ Europe 2012 Collection and start planning my travels!

I can’t believe how fate intervened last year after my two-city stay in Frankfurt and Munich. Quite a few of you wrote in with your guesses as to who was sitting next to me on the plane (Gary Oldman, Tina Turner and more!) but I can now tell you that it was, in fact, Louis!

After a couple of months exploring his hometown together (France) and spending some time in mine (Canada), it’s safe to say that we’re an item. But he still lives in Europe… sigh. Good thing my job is exploring the best Europe has to offer!

I am completely wowed by this year’s Europe Collection. And the promotions… double-wow! My personal favourite is definitely free access to the award-winning Air Canada Maple Lea^TM Lounges when booking Air & Hotel by April 30, 2012. Travelling in style, my friends, is how I like to do it!

There are so many different hotels, tours and excursions to choose from and I am hesitating between a short-term car rental, a buy-back and purchasing a rail pass. While both car options are great and have their own advantages, there is something romantic, and fascinating about travelling by rail.

With the Eurail Global Pass, I could enjoy unlimited travel in over 20 countries in Europe. The fact that I met Louis on a train doesn’t hurt either. A Eurail Global Pass it is!
